This song is about religious pressure, it seems to mostly target televangelists. “Get off my T.V. / I don’t need 1-800 to be free / Need my money to live.” Probably the most powerful line here is “He’s got my heart, and I know that he needs nothing more from me” as Christians usually say God loves everyone no matter what. The narrator of the song seems overall confused on whether or not to believe. |
