@[Ratman_84:53796] this reminds me of paper thin hotel by Leonard cohen. When i first heard this song it also hit me like a freight train. I was in a toxic relationship at 17 with the love of my life. This song captured exactly how I felt as I was with him, and I still feel it about him. There was no cheating done in this relationship but the “love” being shown wasn’t something that loved should be portrayed. I really love Elvis Costellos influence with jazz. He really captures the edgy dark feelings. The vibrato in his whiskey note moments really bring the song to life. If you want another cheating song that will break your heart, I recommend paper thin hotel by Leonard cohen, and the cover by Matt Maltese. |
