To me it’s just a song about injustice and frustration, she’s angry at God or the Creator that made a world with so much suffering. She’s filled with rage and would like to be more passive sometimes. The ending to me clarifies this, where she’s clearly saying that she can’t have it all: you can either have talent, creativity and intelligence or you can be good and passive and accept the world as it is. |
