| @[taytayism:53730] great response. Just a little insight though, Bradley was also a heroin addict. Though he didn’t always mention it directly he often alluded to it. A common side effect of male opioid users is the inability to achieve or maintain “liftoff”. Mary make have mistaken his inability to perform as indication of cheating because she didn’t know about the heroin use. I definitely think he was writing about a time when he was younger, as he does in much of the music. I agree with you about him asking her not to fuss and fight but I think it’s because he knows he is going to have issues and it really upsets her. He really just wanted to smoke a bong before trying to get some sleep. Some people do use the “daddy” nickname (?), but I don’t think that’s it. I think Mary might either be high on something hallucinatory or have some mental health issues. In the end I think he just decides to go with it so she will chill out and he can finally sleep. This is just a guess based on what I know of addicts but maybe I got something right. | |
