Lots of great inspiring thoughts in here. I would add that it’s not just about change, but an urgent warning of the character’s past catching up to them. The ‘orphan’ suggests something they created and abandoned that has since grown and is now armed. Its cries since abandonment were like a fire in their conscience but were drowned out by the much larger sun which is a far louder cry but also something that provided warmth and light like the sun (loud cries of an audience?). Maybe their orphaned creation used to deliver a message that was the original purpose of their talent but they abandoned it for fame and now their conscience can’t ignore it and it’s about to fire a gun louder than the audience can cheer to get their attention and has potential to destroy them. |
