As someone with experience to being hooked on opioids, in my opinion this song while not too obvious describes what it is like to be dependent on opioids. It's written in a way only people who have experienced opioid addiction will understand. "Itchy skin my aching body" when you're high you get extremely itchy and when youwithdrawal your body aches. "good grief your own creation" blaming everyone else but coming to terms that your problems are your own creation. "Inside my home a shaking crawl" (withdrawal stage) and "but it's five it's gone the TV's on and I dream of release, and the tears ease(eyes constantly well up during withdrawal) but scored some at 5 withdrawals are gone tears have stopped and you've nodded off watching tv" Of course this is just my interpretation and that's what musics all about. Not saying I'm correct in my analysis in any way shape or form. |
