| I find these comments a bit... strange, but what here's what I think. I've only listened to it fully once so I don't have any firm beliefs on the meaning of the lyrics. Maybe about a person trying to get to know, truly, a new lover. Or of generally wanting more genuineness and depth. But the way it is sung, and the music, it's so powerful, it makes me shaky, it reaches deep... something about it. I love how it changes towards the end to those lovely chords. I have added it to my playlist! But it is haunting, deeply impactful, strange... | |

| A very nice song. I think it's about someone who was a friend - 'swore on that night we'd be friends till we die' - and has died. The singer misses them dearly, but feels that the dead friend has left them something special, that they can hold on to and find comfort from, 'everglow'. And perhaps the singer had a bit of romantic feelings to this person, though they never told them - 'so if you love someone, you should let them know'. | |

| The last line hurts because it is so untrue 😞 | |

| @[pfarabee:54239] Very nice explanation! With regards verse 3 (as per your description) I agree, and want to add that especially, because of the way when he sings 'and as we say our long goodbye, I nearly do/did'. Like, it branches into two different words at the same time, suggesting different meanings. Or maybe that's irrelevant. Anyway, :) | |

I see it as a pure, sweet love song, capturing the essence of two young lovers who are deeply in love. The one that narrates the song is fully immersed in this relationship, and they invite the other lover to come away with them into their own world of love where they can forget everything and grow old together, just the two of them. The person says that they'll do everything together, and they don't need anyone else, they can live happily together forever. It seems to be written from the perspective of the sweetest point in a relationship, when it's still quite new but the two people see each other as perfect, and everything is utterly amazing in their relationship. In some ways it's a bit naive, as of course there is more to life than that one relationship and things won't stay like that forever, but so is the nature of young passionate lovers, I think. 'All that I am, all that I ever was, is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see' shows how fully absorbed in the relationship this person is. They can't see anything except the amazing news of their lover and they say that their entire being is placed in this lover. '...these things will never change for us at all' shows some of the naivity, the narrator thinks that everything is so wonderful, their love is so great, that it will be like that forever. Overall, it's like a sort of invitation... like saying along the lines of 'let's grow old together, let's do all the things lovers do, let's forget everything, let's waste time, doing all the silly things lovers do, let's do it all together'. And also expressing how much this person loves the other. They are very exhilarated by it all, a bit confused, likely experiencing lots of new things and feelings for this person that they love so much. It's a very innocent and sweet song and I find that it immerses you in how this person is feeling. I'm 14 and have never experienced love in the way of a relationship, but this song really captures this feeling of passionate love and all the other stuff I said well. I don't know if what I've said came across well, but I hope you could get what I mean. A very nice song! :) |

| @[pfarabee:54223] Thank you! This brought a whole new meaning for me, as I had thought it was more between lovers, but this makes a lot of sense, and is really sweet | |
