@[CrookedHal01:53473] Hi. I've been listening to Candlebox for some years now and their lyrics is almost always difficult to understand exactly. But that's the beauty. I believe this song is mostly about an unhealthy person you love. Someone you "separates" and is also "desperate". One you wants to be helped and but don't know how; and the one you desperately want to help. "Is there anything I can do for you?". It's basically about a relationship of which only remains love and confusion. "These lines they're open-ended" and "your rules left to be read", but it's not obvious how to read "these rules" as in how to help the person and make the relationship last. However, I like to think of this "relationship" as a relationship with oneself; an internal confusion and chaos. There's a line saying "Well I can do anything...", which I personally like to think means I literally can help myself out of this fucked up situation I'm stuck at but don't know how or can't do it. Nevertheless, feel free to interpret the song however you like. Hope this helped. |
