Coldplay – Viva la Vida Lyrics 9 months ago
My personal perspective on the song is we're hearing about a man who claims that he ruled the world. In the context of the beginning it sounds like he was giving a word so maybe he was a type of prophet are religious figure and through the song as he goes as he ruled the world meaning he or his religion rule the world he ended up having to sweep the streets that he owned. So from going to be a king that ruled the world to going to the lowest in being a janitor essentially and then saying Saint Peter won't call my name so if we listen to the Jerusalem ringing and the Roman's choirs are singing we can establish that this is going through some sort of aspect between Judaism or Christianity and because he is left behind outside of Jerusalem as revelation in the Bible would state that a New Jerusalem would come it would keep out all the bad people and he was probably one of the bad people with his own specific religion or his own word that he claimed to be true that he was claimed to be cast out.

In the Bible it would stay that Satan was the ruler of this world when Jesus Returns then Satan should be cast into hell but assuming that Satan wasn't in hell this could be referring to the person that used to rule the world as Satan or it could be in an Islamic perspective Allah or Muhammad because Allah does have attributes of a human but very distorted in context. It could also be referencing a person of a specific church or congregation or religion that had Missionaries going out but there is never an honest word that would come out of their Missionaries mouth because he ruled the world at that time and everything he was teaching and taught people was a lie.

So when it comes down to Saint Peter not calling his name he then says never an honest word was made and then he said that's when he ruled the world so when he ruled the world there was never an honest word. So from my conclusion this is on the Baron streets of a false religion or a false person that essentially used to rule the world that could have been driven by Satan or an Antichrist figure or some sort of false profit or being that was left into this world and because he didn't follow Christianity Saint Peter won't allow him into heaven or won't allow him into New Jerusalem and he is stuck on the outside without any way to get in and he's singing or reminiscing about his time when he ruled the world
