Queen – Thank God It's Christmas Lyrics 23 years ago
One of the most haunting x'mas tunes i've heard in quite a while...din make it to any album but was released as a single after the Made In Heaven album...also appears in Greatest Hits III....Freddie's powerful vocals are simply wonderful on this track.

The video for this song is really cool. It features Freddie (wif sawed-off mike in hand) doing battle wif Christopher Lambert. Good Stuff.

Queen – We Are The Champions Lyrics 23 years ago
This is basically Queen giving the finger to all those ppl who put them down and said a band wif a gay front-man would get no where.

Their biggest critics were the "good folks" from 'News Of The World' tabloid. I guess its no wonder they named the album 'News Of The World.' ;-)

Queen – Under Pressure Lyrics 23 years ago
The video for this song was digitally re-worked for the release of Greatest Flix III. It's a live performance showing Freddie and Bowie performing on stage. However Freddie and Bowie never sang this song live. :-)

They basically took footage of Freddie performing Under Pressure from the '86 concert at Wembley and Bowie's performance of the song at the '92 Tribute concert and merged it. Good Stuff.

Queen – Killer Queen Lyrics 23 years ago
It's about a high class prostitute. There is a tribute band called Killer Queen. Just saw their concert last week and I must say they're bloody good. The lead singer's resemblence to Freddie is spooky. It's like he's right there on stage wif sawed-off mike in hand saying "Ok, let's do it!" ;-)

Queen – Bicycle Race Lyrics 23 years ago
It seems that the initial video for this song was banned coz it featured over 50 female models having a their own little "Bicycle Race" in the nude in a stadium that Queen hired for a day.

Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody Lyrics 23 years ago
I've been a major Queen fan since i was a kid and this song obviously shook the foundations of rock upon its release. Many ppl (including those here) have tried to make some sense of it.

I remember reading Freddie's auto-biography where someone once asked him what Bo Rap really meant. He said "It's just a bunch of rhyming nonsense." :-)

When the single was first ready for release, it seems that his producers told Freddie that Bo Rhap was too long coz most songs in the late 70's were like 2-3 mins tops and told him no radio station would play a song 6 mins long in its entirety. Freddie was asked to edit it and make it shorter.

Freddie then secretly passed the single to a DJ fren of his and told him that this was his new single and wanted to knoe what his fren thought abt it. The DJ dude played it 48 times in 2 days. All 5min 54 sec of it. The rest, as they say, is history.
