“Melancholy man” is in fact all average humans going about their lives caught up in thoughts and ego and victim mindset. “A beam of light”: spiritual awakening which I think in this case was through drugs :) “You’ll remember what’s been said by all good men”: once awakening happens it’s like we go back to our core and remember that we’re consciousness before anything else which has been said by all spiritual teachers, Buddha, Rumi, Eckhart, Abraham hicks, Jesus,… I think almost all moody blues songs have a spiritual aspect to them even if they deliberately included spiritual messages or not (they could’ve been channeling from the source without even knowing but they were in a state that these words would come to them) By spiritual I mean: there’s a source energy or collective consciousness and we’re all manifested forms of that source. Human beings have access to this consciousness, once awakening happens it opens our mind to this truth that we’re one and that’s the true love. I’m new to spiritualitybut not to MB songs and now I think I’m finally understanding understanding the lyrics for what they actually are! |
