I asked my father back in 90’s about the diamonds and he said that was a reference to sex. So someone turned him in (Judas) and he got back at him by saying he screwed his sister and wife. Just my thoughts, a little more simple and not bringing in the nazis. The falklands crisis was going on when song written so I tend to narrow down to that situation since other songs reflected that situation (e.g. brothers in arms). In the end it was about the same human action that tends to repeat itself (?Trump) but WHO IS THE MAN???? |
