I interpreted this a little different. I really felt this after the realization that im getting older and still stuck in that same spot as i was 8 years ago and im still in a great regretting stage at this very moment. "Everything that I said I’d do Like make the world brand new And take the time for you I just got lost and slept right through the dawn And the world spins madly on" This verse is me talking to that young little kid inside me telling that I failed to make him a better person when he grow up. "The whole world is moving and I’m standing still" This very line and the way Steve delivered it makes me cry everytime. It's been while since i saw my highschool buddies and looking at their social media and seeing how far they've come in life and how stuck I am makes me want to end it all to be honest.
