I'm pretty sure about this. I hope it will be useful. You know who I am, you've stared at the sun, well I am the one who loves changing from nothing to one. L.C. was a Buddhist. Buddhism is about freeing yourself from slavery to your own urges and beliefs. One of the key practices is to understand that the usual concept of your self is a fixed and solid thing as opposed to something light and ever changing or even a meaningless concept. Changing from nothing to one is our normal tendency to go from direct awareness of what is happening to a point of view of our mostly fixed self in relation to a mostly unchanging universe. You are the listener to the song. I am your tendency to go from simple awareness to a mostly unchangeable self. That is a bad thing. I am your enemy. Notice that the song is in a minor key and the words are ominous. Sometimes I need you naked, sometimes I need you wild, I need you to carry my children in and I need you to kill a child. You are my slave, you will do what I command. You must carry my plans inside yourself. Kill a child - as Yahweh commanded Moses. You know who I am, you've stared at the sun, You've looked into yourself and seen the truth which is so near and bright that it you are blinded at first. And you have seen and now you know. I cannot follow you, my love, you cannot follow me. You see things one way or the other. They can never mix. I am the distance you put between all of the moments that we will be. The normal point of view (one, me the enemy) of unchanging self and universe if outside of time. The awareness point of view (nothing, yourself) is continuous moments of time. If you should ever track me down I will surrender there Once you see for yourself what is happening inside, you no longer need to be controlled by your urges and beliefs. and I will leave with you one broken man whom I will teach you to repair. But you will need to rebuild yourself, and you have to start out as your current deluded self. |
