Just me, but I think of this song as what someone from an alien civilization visiting Earth is saying to us as we are on the precipice of finally being able to see the big [possibly dark] forest and kind of saying “you are about to learn things you might not have wanted to, but at least you’ll know. Wish you well but I’m not going to really help or protect you.” Kind of emotionless curiosity. This is just what *I* feel as I listen to the song. |
