Copeland – I'm A Sucker For A Kind Word Lyrics 10 months ago
Our author is tormented by his affliction with women. I don't think it's a specific one. He implicitly compares it to a sickness. A malady he's trying to find the cure to.

Our author in deep contemplation for his suffering. This is conveyed through the imaginary of searching for a fire escape. Our author, after tormenting himself for answers finally finds the reason for his affliction: he's a sucker for a kind word. In other words, he's simply a hopeless romantic. Lol I think we almost all have been there. A beautiful song.

These comments are all honestly hilarious and I've enjoyed reading through them greatly. I can't tell if nobody ever saw the music video (maybe before youtube was big), but, based on the music video, this song is clearly about the dude wanting to fuck. That was the conclusion I reached immediately upon watching.

I won't do the video disgrace the video by providing what will be a likely poor description of the video and song, just go watch it from this perspective I think it will make more sense :P

"The lyrics are meant to be looked at from any angle to fullfill the the listener's imagination, a concept embraced by the post-punk/neo-psychedelic music scene. "

Thanks for posting this bit :). To expand on this the lyrics make extensive use of Zeugma and syllepsis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeugma_and_syllepsis), where dual meanings are exploited in a sentence with the word only appearing once.
