The Strokes had just released their (absolutely smash hit) debut album, and they happened to be at a party that Courtney was at. Courtney pulls Julian aside to talk to him about his career, saying “this was your Bleach, you need to make your next album your Nevermind” (other people say that she gave him the “Bono talk” with Julian saying “U2 is shitty” and leaving) and Julian basically said “nah” and this song is basically a diss track |
