30 some years later… That’s the awesome thing about songs like this. I won’t down anyone who thinks this is about an abusive relationship, father/son. Etc but I will give my take. I picture this as being a teenager describing a friendship with maybe the maintenance guy at his apartment. Maybe a war veteran with PTSD. A bit eccentric with a big heart but still deeply wounded I’ve known lots of folks like this. Awesome people but they tend to ramble on a bit. Anyways just my 2 cents |
