@[dibo:52896] I have always loved this song when I’ve heard it, and I just heard it again just now in a show I’m watching (while I also recognize it from shows I’ve watched in the past, etc.). This time, after being reminded again of this beautiful song, I went a step further bc I love music, symbolism, metaphors, and the ability for everyone’s interpretation of any carefully strung worded message to resonate with them in different ways…so I decided to google how the rest of the world—besides myself—received the lyrics and message of the song. And, surprisingly enough, I’m seeing your post now—a post that tells your interpretation and an extremely intuitive, insightful, and passionate take at that—and 18 years later, it STILL rings true and motivated me to comment (which involved me having to make an account and all of that lol, but it’s worth it to continue to notice and acknowledge how people from every walk of life & any generation, can still keep alive the meaning of song writing and how beautiful music is in general. I think it could unite us all. Understandably, the world doesn’t think this deep all the time, so I’m happy I saw your post and was able to feel a connection in terms of my symbolistic mindset and way of thinking, especially when this was posted—now doing the math😳—when I was literally 8 years old—it gives me a bit more confidence in how I still try to find meaning in many parts of the world, even when it seems like “this is a dreamless world” is shoved in your face in my life At 26. Anyways, I appreciate your take on this song and I’m so happy you shared.
