I feel that many times we appeal to dissociation ("run away") because it is a resource that allows us to cope with the something that is difficult to face (when the ship is wrecked). In fact, Thom writes How to disappear completely after a moment of need to "not be here." But sometimes we abuse with the resourse of dissociation so much that we disinhabit ourselves, our emotions, our body (we are a head that wanders around, like in the song video) and our bonds.
