To me, Third Day of a Seven Day Binge is a breakup song. He's on a 7 day binge (drink, etc.) to get over this person - by the third day, he can already feel her name disintegrating from his lips. In other words, he's not even talking about her that much anymore. He's conflicted about his feelings, wondering whether she wears him out or wears him well - toxic or perfect for him. But he knows that he'd rather live with the pain of being without her than deal with whatever drama she brings to his life. "Rather be your victim than be with you." |
