"Tight pants, points". I understood the tight pants part of being young and trying to look good, but I didn't understand "points" until I learned it was about his boots - with pointed toes. The "cool" look, but not too much, like most of us. lol. |

@[Malaria_Kidd:52113] Amen! He's so full of soul and blues and his voice captures it so well - even in the recording!!! Beautiful poetry and tune. The background singers are fantastic too. I think today's music is too "canned" and restricted by corporate to pull of a song like this today. |

I think it's about impending death. The song's viewpoint is from "Death" himself visiting on this ship. Old McPhee figures it out pretty quickly but like the Captain, he's in denial, like all of us, once we face and come closer to our mortality. |
