| I could be wrong but here's my theory. There's a band from England called Placebo, they were a 3 piece but since 98 have been a 2 piece. Singer/guitarist Brian and the bass player who is French. I don't know the French bass players name but know they met in France but are based out of England. They broke through the Alternative charts with their debut album w/singles Nancy Boy and another song(my ex liked them so this is hard to recall). NOFX played a few festivals with Placebo in 97, 98 & early 99. Placebo's singer has got into it with alot of other musicians for being pretentious. At a 98 festival Fat Mike had some stage banter with Melvin about Placebo. The lyrics are universal if you don't know that that Placebo are 2 of the lamest musicians that no one has gotten along with and Fat Mike had an issue with them. That's my take. Thanks. | |
