I get the whole love story with someone you can't be with. It's beautifully poetic as much of Townshend s writing is. I NEED to know who is the castrated leader that he hates? Reagan, Thatcher, and Gorbachev are the 3 I think of at that time? I'd really love to know as this was a song I heard everyday of my teen years. |

Thought about this as something I would have come up with while tripping out on LSD. Nonsense that just flows out. About the BS lives of everyday normal people who history will never know even existed. If someone has an informed idea of what was meant I'd LOVE to know because I can't get the song out of my head now that I heard it. Love it though. |
