I worked at the Underground Wonderbar(Walton & State)He drank Heineken and Cuervo 1800 on a daily basis until we had to pour him into the taxi. He was just John to us. Very friendly man. One day, a street musician came into the bar and said "Do you know who's sitting in the bar right now?". His cover was blown. He told me that my guitar playing was OK, but I'm no Tommy Shaw. He was married on stage at the World Theater in Tinley Park. I think about him every time I hear a Styx song. A Great Man and a Great Friend. |
