| Loquat – Internal Crash Lyrics | 1 year ago |
| I was a US Air Force trauma nurse in Iraq and Afghanistan. I saw many young men injured some paraplegics another, and other devastating wounds.. I do not know the original meaning of this song or how this person sustained their injuries. “ I already fought a war” didn’t think I’d fight another (his disability) one he can’t defend. It sad to think of veterans “strapped to a chair on wheels” that have to depend on others for a wars we shouldn’t have been in. My music device had Loquat “Swingset chains” loaded onto it as it came with the purchase. This song I listened to with many others helped me decompress after 12 hour shifts in an active war zone trauma unit. I would dance alone in the dark, smoke cigars, and try to deal with all that I saw, felt and all the the loved ones who were soon to be notified that their sons, daughters and friends were dead or wounded, When I returned home I purchased 4 Loquat albums, where I came across this Song. I have “invisible wounds” and am still fighting wars…. | |
