Chad Vangaalen – Blood Machine Lyrics 3 months ago
Pretty sure it's about a bunch of people plugged into a blood machine who would rather not be.

Charlie Daniels Band – The Devil Went Down to Georgia Lyrics 1 year ago
Everyone get this wrong. The Devil was both a contestant and the judge of the contest. You think He knows how to work that to His advantage? Of course. He’s the Devil. But the Devil is a fiddle player and was so impressed by Johnny’s fiddling that it broke His heart to see him playing on such a substandard fiddle. Of course, Johnny never would have accepted a gift from the Devil, so the Devil devised a little contest that Johnny was sure to win because the Devil was the one judging it. It was an extremely classy way to give charity to a deserving violinist without making him feel like he’s getting charity. That Devil is a classy fellow.

A-Ha – Take On Me Lyrics 1 year ago
It’s obvious once you see it. He’s known her a long time and loves her, but she’s shying away. He’s leaving in a day or two for college, the Army, a job in another city, whatever, so it’s now or never.
“You’re all the things I’ve got to remember”
He’ll think of her every day after he’s gone.
“Say after me: It’s no better to be safe than sorry”
If we leave this undone, we’ll regret that, and we’ll regret it even more than we’d regret having a two-day romance where one or both of us gets hurt. Protecting ourselves from that hurt, but missing out on those two days, isn’t better than just taking it all on and seeing what happens.

Once you see it it’s clear. He’s known her a long time. They’re friends. He loves her and thinks she loves him, but she’s shying away. He’s leaving soon for the army, or college, or something, so it’s now or never. Take him on. Last chance. He’ll be gone in a day or two.
