There’s a military connection here I can’t quite piece together: - During WWII, US infantry in the UK were called “Dough boys” - “the far side of the swim” - across the Atlantic? - “a waiting troop” It’s as if it’s addressed to a young woman who has travelled from the UK to the USA to live in a military base or town. Maybe someone else can figure out more… |
