| Supertramp – Lord Is It Mine Lyrics | 1 year ago |
| Everyone has these far out views but to me the answer is more direct. He is asking a question in each verse then asking if 'it's mine'. Example: 1st verse: "I need to find a silent place that I can call my own-- Lord is that place mine?" 2nd: "And there's many times it seems that you're the only hope in sight-- Lord is that hope mine?" 3rd: "But it seems a time of sadness is a time to understand -- Lord is it my time to understand?" 4th: "The love that shines around me could be mine-- Lord is it mine?" And he asks for answers even though he knows everyone has these questions-- will his get through? Will his be answered? Or they could be voices in his head, negative or positive, giving him conflicting answers. The love could be a lover's love he wants or love from whatever being he worships. Of course I could be wrong but it makes sense to me. Lovely song. | |
