@[droeh:53087] 11 years long time, I have always wondered duh, about the "zipper blues" and tried to nail down a meaning. I was just watching a Rick Beato video and he has these lyrics isolated from the song and I swear Billy is singing "zipper moves" , I could be wrong but that would change that part of that song and makes more sense. |

Am I the only guy that got together alone on a lonely night with a girl that was way above my paygrade. We hit it off & it was great for that one night but I knew even as it happened back at school she would act like she never knew ya and her friends and the rest of the school would have thought it was like she had been with a loser taking a big step down and I didn't want the embarrassment of being called a liar. Stupid high school stuff, 45 years and I have grown up but still remember what it was like being on the outside looking in. This may not have been what Petty was singing about but it is where it lands for me. |
