This song caused my music taste to open up properly. Up until then I was into the usual pop stuff, but this one was weird, enticing. In retrospect - Manu Katche on drums, Tony Levin on bass, yea this is not the usual drum synth dross. Lyrically, I don't think there's necessarily too much to say, Crazy River is likely Mississippi as per my above post, and it describes a potentially slightly intoxicated (I hesitate to suggest peyote fueled) dreamlike walk along the river because it's too hot to sleep. I love the 'mood' it evokes. |

| @ralphman Connecting a few dots I think I found Nick's cafe. Levon Helm was born in Marvell, Phillips Country, but the town of Helena was incorporated in it, and a Nick's Cafe used to sit in the 1932 Garofas building, 101 Missouri, Helena. | |
