@fryguy82 I am thinking about this a lot - please buy one - and to me it would make much more sense to hear it as - please by one. I wonder if there is any officially authorised version of the lyrics. The song in a poetic way seems to describes the peacefulness that comes from love making ('the velvet hill in the small of our back') with someone who'd 'keep me as I am' , and the chorus is her wish to all of us that, in that way, we will find peace by someone. I think it is a very deep and wise view that real peace comes from within each of us, once we are accepted and loved as we are. |
