| In my opinion, this song seems to be about someone who is going through a tough time, possibly dealing with depression. Towards the end, it feels like he is trying to convince himself that he is ready to move on and get over his feelings, even though deep down he may not believe it. Others may be telling him to just let things happen and that it will be over soon, but he disagrees. The part where he mentions "taking off" and apologizing to his mother suggests that he may be considering running away or even taking his own life. Someone may know what he is going through, maybe the same person who convinced him to let things happen. The mention of it being morning and the tiredness in his voice could indicate that he is unmotivated and possibly has trouble sleeping, which is common for people with depression. This is just my interpretation of the song, but I find it interesting to read everyone else's thoughts as well. | |
