This is CLEARLY about loving a women who is emotionally damaged, emotionally unavailable, or just plain has unfortunate issues, mental illness or immaturity.. he loves her deeply, but she keeps hurting him. So he left her because he knows he can't be with her, she's too damaged and hurts him too much, weather from cheating, or just playing games.. hes trying to move on but it's hard because he truly loves and misses her. His indecisive to call her and wants her to just come home so he can stop hurting from missing her, but he knows he can't, she's no good for him. The shadow in the background of the morgue and him being the unsuspecting victim is because he trusted her and he thought she was the one and he was hurt by her and didn't expect it.. the mentions of living like Jack and Sally and wishing that night would never end is just ties to the movie, because it refers to the death of the relationship, and he wants to live in a dream with her that he knows will never happen because she is incapable of providing love in return. The angel from my nightmare is because he thought she was a perfect angel partner but she ended up destroying him. This is 100 percent about this if anyone has fallen in love with a sociopath, they will understand. A sociopath pretends to be everything you ever want and then their true colors come out and they destroy you because they rip away an amazing love you thought you had and it takes a long time to get over not having what you thought you did, and your so in love with what you thought was, you can't get over it and it hurts so bad and part of you wants to just be with that person in hopes what you thought you had will return but you know deep inside their no good.. 100 percent what this song is about, relisten to it in the context. |
