my guess is the wars going on in the east influenced this song. too many stars and stripes maybe means that the US had too much unnecessary involvement. the album came out in 2009. the war on terror (of terror) had been around for a while then (and more now). lyrics that are curious. boundaries and borders crossed since the us pretty much invaded the borders of all the countries. bombs bursting. it goes on over there monumental diplomatic moment that was missed. the whole war was a missed diplomatic moment. but I don't know any specific area for this lyric also the 21 gonned and in bagged. I can't find anything on this. The biggest evidence however is living hand right over fist, which means to make a lot of money The weapon makers for the war got billions of dollars. it costed some 2.3 trillion tax payer dollars that went to the military and their weapon companies during the Afghanistan war.
