And was distant/emotionally unavailable to him when he was a child." A very interesting deep psychologic view on the song! I wonder, why noone but you ever realized that important hint! Actually, this also explains very deeply the speechlessness after the line "It´s because...": The singer can not even to himself deliver a propper explanation, why he stops after "It´s because...." - But it´s obviously because right here begins his hidden sub-conscious and painful experiences from his childhood, when he could not rely on the motherly love - and thus - as an adult - is unable to really love someone, because he hasn´t experienced in his very childhood...! |
