I think the song is a bit of both popular choices here. Fear Factory subject matter makes me think that it's about a man who's a clone, similar to a replicant from Bladerunner. I also think that this is a metaphor for real life subject matter, the "I am rape" line could both refer to how he is a product of rape against nature, but also literally a child conceived by a rapist. I think this falls in line with other songs on the album and others. Big God/Raped Souls also makes me think rape is just a much more general word to Burton than most. |
