I interpret this song as somewhat metaphorically describing a romantic relationship. Bullet is a grudge or resentment. You're far from the place where this love started; where you put your weapon down. But that bullet is burning a hole in your pocket... You're complaining about what ails you in the relationship and your counterpart tried to calm you down (whiskey) And now you're inconsolable and begging to end it. (Which is so much worse) I know I shouldn't have held on to this resentment But it's impossible not to resent someone who's cursed you with a reason to. (Ever since you became mine, I've been in pain). Fu©k that! Get back here,I said no! you don't get to leave now that I feel this way! Resentment growing into evil: but you better not keep grinning cuz It's on now! The first one who leaves is gonna be okay...
