this is one of my all time favourite oasis songs, i love the early, raw sounding tracks. "the higher that you climb the longer you fall" is such a genius lyric to me. the way i interpret it is that the more you try and be someone you're not, or impress someone and put so much effort into something that's giving nothing back, the worse it'll be for you in the long run. i didn't explain that very well but i've always thought it's a really good lyric. |

i have a very different view on this song, i feel like noel wrote it about his dad, some of the lyrics just make sense and i think “i don’t beleive that anybody feels the way i do about you now” was more of like a bad thing “and all the roads we have to walk are winding” and following lyrics i think are about how they went from nothing to everything, and it wasn’t just like a click of the fingers maybe the “your gonna be the one that saves me” could be the band? he could’ve been in a dark place and needed something to keep him going and that was the band at times just my take on it, this song is an amazing song no matter how popular it is, always makes me cry |
