@[readymade:48839] don't listen to the dumb fuck who is literally just giving his moron opinion - erickdavis. the girl the song is written about wasn't a heroin addict, she was depressed. AK is saying his presence in her life seems to be heaven sent because he met her when she had no one else and she was on the verge of suicide. "no lullaby kid, no 5%" means she wasn't a kid raised on lullabies and kid-drinks that were 5% juice. aka, she had a hard childhood.
the next two lines reinforce the first two: no matter how you want to look at it, she's emotionally dying from the abandonment she suffered.
"lost in the valley without my horses, she needs somebody to hold" - when you're attached to a person, but they suffer from different problems than you, you're lost. but aside of their problems, that person still also has the same issues as anyone else: she's lonely.
etc, etc.
contrary to popular belief, AK writes a lot of songs that aren't about drug addiction. the dumb fucks just automatically go there because that's all they know about the band, they aren't real fans, they're barely real people. |
