I don't mean to be a fathead Beatle expert, but I believe I may have found kind of a clue as to what George was saying (rather just who he was talking about as his Wah-Wah...) The reason he didn't mention it in his book is that it's a pretty cutting thing to say (Just as Harrison's "Wah-wah" could be when HE was talking about others - (See Roll A Stoney in I Dig A Pony about The Rolling Stones and how George's "Wah-wah" later disowned himself from that cutting remark against Mick & Company)) Who was George's "Wah-wah"? Read on... From Wikipedia: "Musicologist Walter Everett recognises the volume pedal's presence on "I Need You" as the most important example within the band's work, with every chord given the "flautando-like" sound, and "multiple articulations" appearing throughout the song's coda.[39] Citing a comment later made by Harrison, Everett says that "I Need You" was possibly one of the tracks where the pedal control was operated by Lennon, kneeling down on the studio floor, while Harrison played the guitar part.[39]" |

So Donald, you wrote an entire song just to say that John Lennon is a "big fat horrible hypocrite"? Really? Here's a clue for you all: So is everyone. (Oh, and I think that The Nightfly is possibly one of the finest engineered albums ever produced and the songs are incredible. Definitely one of my desert island albums. |
