It could be about many women who grew up in Hollywood around movers & players. But I am obsessed with notion it’s about someone famous. I picked Carrie Fisher and Drew Barrymore. Someone else on this thread essentially moved Drew Barrymore to my number 1 suspect. Furthermore, I think Adam Sandler wrote the song for Shawn Mullins to record. Adam writes comedy songs, but he crosses over to to some delicious rock genre of his own here, theoretically of course. I just figured this out. I hope others agree or prove me wrong. |

@[Ekkostar:48659] I think it’s Carrie Fisher. It could be many people, and maybe it’s going to always be a secret who inspires it. But Carrie hung around SNL people. And Adam Sandler used another Shawn Mullins song for credits in one of his movies. (George Harrison’s What is life”) People might shoot down the Carrie theory by saying she was a pretty big celebrity. And she dumped Paul Simon! I would like to off er her masterpiece “Postcards from the Edge”. |
