Having been a mediocre musician from Fort Payne , I can really relate to that song . Alabama was a 21 to drink whereas Georgia was 18 . Bigham’s barn was the bar just across the line many of us played in . Some of us had fake ID and were playing at 16 and 17 ! Those “ older women” of maybe 25 were definitely available !! Glad the “ Boys in the band “ made it for all the rest of us who only played in front of high school kids at their prom or 100 drunks ! |
