| Stars – In Our Bedroom After the War Lyrics | 2 years ago |
| This feels like a person whose divorce just came through. A person who self sabotaged things just so they could get away from conflict - "if you lost it all - and you lost it - well at least the war is over". They couldn't work things out and they couldn't handle things, and they just wanted to get rid of the awkward heavy conflict. Now they can move forward and focus on positive things, leave the things behind that theyre too emotionally immature to handle. Even though theyre lonely, missing their ex, devastated by the loss and unable to do much in the wake. But there's a level head in the song showing that the end of the war doesn't mean you won, and the absence of conflict isn't peace. Reminds me of Cumberland, creating a desert and calling it peace. | |
