| I've selected My comment type as "My Opinion"... I've made "that" My selection, because when it comes to relationships.. "My Opinion" is nonexistent.. So, I'm quite overjoyed to share My Opinion on this great Cars Classssic & My fave Cars tune.. And Yes, 4 s'es in Classssic!! 1st off, Benjamin Orr does a great job on Vox, giving the song a breath of fresh air & diff' vibe than the constant/norm of Ric's Vox.. This has been My Card fave from the 1st time hearing it.. I was 12yrs old. Now.. and ironically, It's come to Me actually living the lyrics!! I can literally identity from "She never leaves on the light" to the songs very end... Unfortunately. The, "I wait for her forever, but she never does arrive" is such a hard line to hear as Orr delivers it so dead pan flat & emotionally stunned!! Basically there have been many, many, major promises made by Her to Him.. He takes/took EVERYTHING & EVERY WORD to heart and now He, has been left holdin' an empty bag at the proverbial bus stop!! To Me, She is saying: "Trust Me.. I got THIS covered.. And sadly, He puts total faith into Her, and Her Word.. Now in My World, You aint worth a Rat's fk'.. "If" ya' can't keep/back up your word. I was brought up on the notion that your word, basically is, and accounts for your personal worth, so KEEP YOUR WORD, OR KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT, DONT MAKE PROMISES YOU CAN'T FULFILL.. Otherwise, when you're making promises that involve the heart and in other important facets of life, and then from outta' the gate you're unaccountable for the most of it.. there is something majorly wrong with you in the way of having long term untreated mental health issues, and or you're just plain fk'n evil and incapable.. So if that's the case in any form or combo platter.. You don't place much value on being trustworthy.. So He, loves & duh' uh' uh'..trusts her, her word.. She just simply blows wind up His ass and FAILS, FAILS MISERABLY, TO COME THROUGH | |

I must say that this in My opinion, is one of thee' best (if not thee best) Jerry has ever penned!! The song's dynamic is very, very brilliant & supports a serious level emotions.. The bass track is like a driving heartbeat and keyboards much like a soundtrack to professing love while being convincing yet having an insecurity and heavy emotional uncertainty.. I hold onto what I love, I'd risk the madness, for You I'd cross to the other side, is thee' line that is the heaviest.. It's another way of saying "I'd die for You!".. To truly mean "that" to your innermost self.. Is pretty HEAVY!! Ever been in love?? Also known as a feelin' in My heart, It's also known to happen after dark, it's also known as tearin' Me apart, its also known as love.. Something explained in such simple terms.. Yet something that goes much further & deeper than simple terms.. I'm sure many agree with Me that Love fk'n sucks.. Especially when You cannot have the One You Truly Love, the One that's in Your heart that has pretty much taken up residency and You can't kick It outta' Your heart to save your own life!! To Me lies that Fire That rages underground, that fire that burns behind the eyes.. Is the FEAR of never having that One True Love, the insecurity, uncertainty, is a dagger in the heart!! I highly respect Jerry's songwriting skills, this great song here, is so well written. It could spawn 1,003 more great love songs!! I feel this song highly expresses that draw, want, the promise to die for, yet SOOO' much uncertainty.. My experience is all over this song, even stirs emotions within Me.. especially painful... | "Hot Chicks Fast Cars" One outta' two ain't bad.. But Jerry obviously likes both on a combo platter.. As most of Us Guys do!! I got a feelin' Jerry is speaking 1st person experience.. His "Teethy She-Wolf" is an older woman, bad ass car, like a Creme 1966 Chevelle, that for whatever reason(?) says "Son Of Chevy" in "Hooker Red" on the doors.. who pops by randomly & picks Jerry up for an high speed adrenaline pumping ride with some touch & grope.. that ends up in a wild "romp".. How lucky Jerry IS!! Jerry's "Teethy She-Wolf" gets Up For Sex with a wild ride ride.. She wants to roam the road just to "get down on the floor.. She said ride..
