| @[Breedabie:48300] the reference to Alexander is a metaphor for the county McClure is in and the county boys(cops) this is a well known fact around southern Illinois in Alexander County. I’m sitting in East Cape Girardeau Illinois in Alexander County 3 miles from McClure right now and I’m from across the bridge in Missouri. I didn’t know about this song and this Bub guy says Nikki look up The Mistress witch of McClure and here I am flabbergasted. Now I’ve got to hear it. I’ve read it and am going to have to read it many more times to make all the underlying connections but I will because this is my stomping ground. | |
