@[hollyholy:48196] Yes your comment spot on…sorry it is 13 years later, still listening to the song, Peter Gabriel component was biggest question in my mind. For like a decade. I always knew what it meant, or at least what it meant to me….which adds so much humor to the song. Just when it couldn’t be any more gawkward, you throw in Peter Gabriel. (imagine Shock the Monkey lol) Doesn’t matter what track, the fact that he cited PG as an extra discomfort on top of teen fumblings is pretty clever. I also like PG for the record, he’s great. But just to reiterate what you had said not exactly the get it on vibe. Also one other note I love when bands cross reference/pollinate lyrics…makes it more fun. Ottoman and this one, Harmony Hall and Finger Back etc.
