This song kicks ass. The first several verses are about how the powers at be are not capable. Then, "Honesty's not a virtue When you're a lying piece of shit You're a soulless hypocrite" ^Society doesn't practice what they preach. NOW, this next verse, while the lyrics are still being screamed, similarly to the rest of the song, the beat-per-minute cuts in half, and this slow and steady, ultra-funky guitar riff is coupled by these insaneee lyrics, that imply that we will not stop acting out against society until the corrupt have their heads on a stick....: "Monsters! We stand no chance. Without your heads!!! You fucking monsters! We stand no chance. Without your heads!!! I want heads!!!!!!! ^that verse is at the 2 minute point. Sick. |

Afternoon, Another personal song for myself, as I've been on this drug. To me, it seems that Kurt is having very neutral, dulled, boring thoughts brought on by this extremely strong mood stabilizer, that personally had me feeling like a zombie. Anyway, once the intro is through and he starts yelling, this is his brief moment of realization that these neutral feelings, however boring and basic, are also quite the relief that he is no longer so highly wound up in emotion. Then comes the "I don't want to crack" - which to me is the relapse of mania. Hence the reason lithium is taken in the first place. |

Hi, I believe this song isn't just about our recognition of fears, but also the fact that they will all inevitably be faced. And really, the "grain of sand" left by the sandman (fear) represents that he was there, trying to infiltrate your brain. I guess just be relieved it was merely a grain. This album was released 2 weeks before I was born. So take my word 😉 Seriously though. |
