I personally think this song perfectly captures most teenage romances. The guy is mostly interested in sex and not in a meaningful connection. The girl, on the other hand, longs for something deeper and more romantic. Although the tone is rather lighthearted and fun, there is some meaning and truth behind it all. Calling the girl stupid for engaging with the guy is wrong imo. She is probably just blinded by her feelings and, like most girls, is hoping for something meaningful to evolve out of this relationship. Deep down, she probably knows what he really wants but clings to the idea of a romance. A perfect depiction of the dilemma of young love.
