Its a beautiful song apart from the horrible far too prosaic ''just remember the alternatives'' which doesn't scan at all.Also it has that middle section too early in the song imho. The cleverest part of the lyric is that those lines at the end ''who puts the rainbow in the sky'' etc. are not questions anymore as they were in the first verse.They are answers!!!! At the end of the song hes thanking the guy (ie.God) ''who puts the rainbow in the sky'' and ''lights the stars at night'' |
